Lumineers are a particular brand of porcelain veneers made by the Den-Mat company. They are known as ultra-thin veneers because they are made of a stronger material then some brands of veneers.
Most brands of porcelain veneers are made to a thickness of 0.5 millimeter, Lumineers can be made 0.3 millimeter thick. This extra thinness means that it could be possible for you to have your new porcelain veneers placed without requiring any sanding of your teeth. However, some people think that makes them look a little bulky, so we’re happy to do it either way. After deciding on your smile design, it will be as simple as having an impression taken of your teeth, waiting two weeks, and then getting your new smile bonded on.
