I had full mouth reconstruction because of TMJ. One of them has always been a little odd compared to the rest. It has a little bump that bothered me. My dentist smoothed it out, but it was never like the others. I’m about to leave on a trip and now I’ve noticed it has a brown spot. Do I need an emergency appointment before I leave?

Every tooth has its own personality, even replacement teeth. However, just like your natural teeth, if there are changes that is a concern. I don’t think this is necessarily an emergency that has to be seen today, but you will want to get it looked at.
It could be that the crown has developed a crack, but there is no way to be certain without having it examined.
My suggestion is that you have it looked at as soon as is reasonably possible. Don’t cancel your trip. It will likely be fine.
