I had fillers injected about a week ago. I have a toothache that is getting worse. My post-op instructions warn of moving the fillers. I’m afraid if I’m seen by a dentist that holding my mouth open will move them. What should I do?

Leisa,
When you have a dental emergency, you need to see the dentist. I realize that your circumstances are more sensitive. However, delaying treatment could make things much worse for you. If it is an infection, it will spread. Caught early, the treatment could be fairly simple.
You can alert the dentist to your fillers and they will take extra precautions. It’s unlikely they will do anything to damage the fillers if proper care is taken.
