I’m on vacation in another state and had a filling fall out. Is this a dental emergency?

Steve,
This needs to be taken care of for several reasons. First, there is an underlying reason for your filling falling out. That needs to be addressed. Second, your tooth is now exposed and that can lead to infection and other decay issues.
There is temporary filling material you can purchase at a drug store. However, it is only designed to be use for a couple of days. If you’re going to be away longer than that, I would call an emergency dentist in the area and get it taken care of.
