My name is Dana. I’m 12. We always go to a dental school to get our teeth cleaned and i’ve never been to a real dentist. They told my mom i have an adult tooth coming in and the other tooth isn’t loose so i need to have it taken out. I’ve never been to a real dentists. Does it hurt to have your tooth out?
Dana,
You’ve probably heard that having your tooth out hurts a lot. The truth is it isn’t that bad. It will be even easier for you because you’ll be having a baby tooth pulled. They don’t have deep roots like adult teeth do.
If you’re worried about it. Or maybe you’re more concerned about the shot to numb you?? There is a way to get something that will relax you before the procedure. It is called nitrous oxide. It will make the shot no big deal. You can have your mom contact me and I’ll explain it to her if she is unfamiliar with it.
By the way real dentists are very nice.
