My daughter is 8 years old. She fell and chipped her front tooth. The dentist said that the soonest he can see her is a month. He told me that there needed to be some healing time on her root anyway. Is that true or can I get her seen sooner?

Alisa,
Am I missing something? Is her tooth loose? If so, it would be more important to treat it by giving it a splint. However, you can get your daughter seen somewhere else very safely.
If her tooth is not loose then the only treatment necessary would be to take care of her chip. I would suggest you go to a pediatric dentist who knows how to do dental bonding. They’ll be able to make the tooth look like there was never a chip to begin with.
