I needed to find an affordable dentist. I called around and found the least expensive dentist in the area. While I got dental care, I felt like I was just shunted through. Is there a way to get affordable dentist in a friendly environment, or is it good care verses affordable prices?

Jessica,
I’m sorry for the experience that you had. No, it doesn’t have to be a choice. Just remember that cheap doesn’t actually mean good. Sometimes it doesn’t even mean affordable. For instance, if your dentist wasn’t skilled or used sub-par materials, then you’re likely to end up spending more money to repair problems that resulted from bad dental treatment.
That doesn’t mean you can’t get affordable care, by a dentist who feels his client’s health and feeling of care and welcome matter. Look at their reviews. Talk to the dentist. Some even give a complimentary consultation.
