I have a two year old that is grinding his teeth. Should I be concerned?

Elle,
It is fairly common for young children to grind their teeth. We are not sure why, though there are a lot of theories. It could be as simple as just investigating a new sensation.
It could also be from teething pain or earaches. If that is the cause, then you can try some tylenol or some other child appropriate pain reliever.
Most children stop this behavior around the age of six. It isn’t likely he’ll cause any damage. However, if you’ve eliminated everything you can and you’re still concerned, you can visit your pediatric dentist. But, this is a fairly normal behavior for children.
